Kamus String Quartet
Schumann’s first quartet sits between two Finnish works from the last fifteen years – a fantastic advertisement for modern quartet repertoire, with the young Kamus Quartet.
This young ensemble formed only five years ago, and during that time has studied together at the Sibelius Academy, and twice been quartet-in-residence at the Britten-Pears Music School at Aldeburgh. More recently they have participated at the European Chamber Music Academy, and are a quartet on course for an impressive career. In this concert Schumann’s first quartet sits between two Finnish works from the last fifteen years – a fantastic advertisement for modern quartet repertoire.
